Arrow: Barry Allen is still comatose in scene from the Midseason premiere, "Blast Radius".

In the latest scene from this week’s new episode of Arrow, we get to see a little of the dynamic between Oliver and Diggle, while Felicity is away looking after Barry Allen in Central City.
That’s right–following the events of the midseason finale and the accident that will eventually give Barry super-speed, his body has slipped into a coma and Felicity has left Oliver alone to focus on his hunt for the Mirakuru source himself.
Haunted by memories of the island, Oliver sets the stage for Diggle, ready to explain to him why he’s so terrified of an army of Mirakuru soldiers suddenly showing up in Starling.

Concept Art For Unused ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Costume Designs

Three pieces of concept art have surfaced online which give us three very different (and unused) Spider-Man suit designs for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man. While the suit we were shown in 2010 remained fairly true to the comics, the designs that Sony was considering for Andrew Garfield certainly attempted to push the envelope.
What do you think of the alternate designs?

Andrew Garfield will return on May 2, 2014 in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field and Chris Cooper and will arrive in theaters on May 2, 2014.

Rest in Peace to a Family Guy character!!

Major spoiler from last night’s Family Guy (“Life of Brian”) ahead!

We should’ve been prepare for this. The dog always dies eventually in these types of stories, right? And yet, I don’t think anything could have prepared us for Brian’s brutal death, which was so ordinary, it’s almost disturbing. One minute he’s preparing for a fun game of street hockey with Stewie and the next, he’s being run over by a car and serving as the set-up for the second part of the episode. As if to confirm the unbelievable -- that Brian really is gone -- Fox has released a tribute video, which relives his gory death scene and also some of the dog’s finer moments, including the infamous ipecac puke scene. (“
Who wants chowder?)

As I said, he died getting run over by a car, as so many family pets do. Considering he was dodging sharp and shiny weapons with Stewie earlier in the episode, having spent the first act traveling through time and trying to undo a pretty drastic alteration Stewie made to history, it seems all the more ridiculous that his demise could be due to such ordinary circumstances. And after a sad farewell and a funeral, the episode moved on to Brian’s replacement, Vinnie, a a wise Italian-American dog with evident grief counseling abilities.

It’s kind of impossible to imagine
Family Guy without Brian, as the talking dog has always been a huge presence in the long-running Fox animated series. Whether he was traveling through time with Stewie, hanging out with Peter or crushing on Lois, Brian has been a part of the Griffin family forever. Or for fourteen years, technically. His departure, assuming its as permanent as it seems, feels like a major turning point for the series. Of course, there’s always the possibility that Stewie might be able to figure out a way to get his hands on some capacitors so he can build a new time machine and bring Brian back somehow. In the meantime, RIP Brian. You will be missed.
