Concept Art For Unused ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Costume Designs

Three pieces of concept art have surfaced online which give us three very different (and unused) Spider-Man suit designs for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man. While the suit we were shown in 2010 remained fairly true to the comics, the designs that Sony was considering for Andrew Garfield certainly attempted to push the envelope.

Andrew Garfield will return on May 2, 2014 in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field and Chris Cooper and will arrive in theaters on May 2, 2014.

Who wouldnt like to see a Avenger/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D cross over?

Recently...Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Marvel fans got excited over the heavily referencing of Thor: Dark World in one of the episodes. We were all hoping that the Joss Whedon-helmed show would throw us a couple of bones and make more in-Marvel Comic Universe references and, somewhat naively, we were keeping our fingers crossed for a cameo by an Avenger at some point. Well lets all hail mr. Joss Whedon as he writes in yet another cross over including our favorite well aged, super soldier known as Captain America.
An anonymous source first tipped off ComicBook.com about a strong connection between the S.H.I.E.L.D. plotline in 

Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. starring in the ABC show. In this case...This episode will be released before Captain America: Winter Soldier.

Whedon chatted with TV Guide, saying:

We're trying to flesh out the world. The Marvel brand carries with it a lot of familiar faces. We’re trying to flesh out the world of S.H.I.E.L.D. with the established characters and the characters we’re introducing to build out the larger organization that we operate in.

Then when the subject of The Winter Soldier came up specifically, Joss has this to say:

Nick Fury [Samuel L. Jackson] is in that one, and S.H.I.E.L.D. makes an appearance, so we will definitely try to tee-up some stuff and probably play a little bit of the fallout from that film. We’re hoping to do some cool stuff.
